In the morning of yesterday, Councilor for Sports, Salvador Barquero met with the Director General of Sports of the autonomous community of the Region of Murcia, Alonso Gomez who visited the municipality accompanied by the head of the sports facilities service of the general direction of Sports, Felipe Cervantes.

The reason for the visit to the municipality campero is due to a round of meetings that the general direction of sports maintains during these weeks by different municipalities of the Region visiting in situ the municipal sports facilities and checking first hand the state in which they are .

At the meeting on Monday, the mayor responsible for the area of ​​Sports of the Consistory, Salvador Barquero, took the opportunity to present Gómez a new list of sports facilities that are lacking in the municipality as they are dedicated to the practice of racket, tracks Tennis and paddle tennis courts that currently do not exist in Campos del Rio and are sued by citizens as well as a 7-a-side soccer field including an athletic track around it.

After the meeting and accompanied by Antonio Garcia, technician of the Department of Sports, toured the different facilities with which the municipality has sports.

The first visit was made to the sports court of the school, the newly created petanque track, followed by a visit to a multipurpose center next to the nursery, where physical activity is conducted for the elderly in the municipality with maintenance gymnastics classes Of zumba, body combat ... to finalize the day in the Municipal Pavilion and the public gymnasium where the improvement actions and the current state of these facilities were reviewed, of which they emphasized by the general direction of Sports, its good state of Maintenance and conservation.

For his part, Councilor for Sports, Salvador Barquero thanked the director general for his visit to the municipality as well as the predisposition of Alonso Gomez taking into account the demands presented at the meeting regarding new sports infrastructure that citizens demand in Campos del Río .
