CEIP San Juan Bautista collaborates with the reading of children's rights

Campos del Río lights a blue light in the City Hall as a symbolic act for the rights of children.
The activity took place during the morning of Wednesday and in it participated students of 6th Primary School of CEIP San Juan Bautista, tutors and members of the board of directors, municipal technicians, as well as members of the municipal corporation among which was the Councilor for Education Mari Carmen Macías.
The lighting of blue light is a proposal from UNICEF to all municipalities adhering to the Childhood City Program of which Campos del Río is a member and coinciding with International Children's Day on November 22.
Participating students read writings about their vision of children's rights, as well as a manifesto for all children.
The Councilor for Education made reference during her speech to the commemoration of the day of childhood "we turn on this symbolic light without any claim of greatness but with humility and always thinking of that childhood forgotten and abandoned to their fate."
Macías highlighted the collaboration of the school “always willing to work with their students for the rights of children†and reminded all those children who do not have the necessary support to achieve a decent development and a happy childhood.
