The mayor of Campos del Río meets with the Government delegate in the Region of Murcia (08/03/2018)

The mayor of Campos del Rio, María José Pérez Cerón, met this afternoon with the Government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Francisco Bernabé, with whom he has dealt with different matters related to the competences of the central administration in the municipality of Fields of the River.

At the meeting, the first mayor has asked Bernabé different measures aimed at strengthening Citizen Security, as they are the continued presence of agents of the Civil Guard in the municipality to avoid as far as possible thefts in public and private spaces like the ones that happened a few days ago in the town.

On the other hand, Pérez Ceron has asked the delegate of the Government of Spain, that "this surveillance of the body of the meritorious extend to rural areas and districts of the municipality because the fruit harvesting campaign will soon start on farms, as well As the work will be intensified in rural areas and livestock farms, so the presence of units of the Civil Guard can be deterrent to possible thefts of material and infrastructures that may cause this season.

"It should be remembered that the region of the Mula River comprises of a population of 25,000 inhabitants, about 800 square km and large area of ​​rural areas such as those found in the municipalities of Albudeite and Campos del Río, so it is necessary to intensify the measures preventive measures and strengthen surveillance in this area ".

Finally, the mayor highlighted the interest shown by the Government delegate on these issues of particular importance to the municipality and thanked him for the treatment provided at the meeting.
